Doug Phillips

Doug Phillips is the founder of the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, and the Christian Filmmakers Academy. He serves as one of the judges of the SAICFF responsible for awarding the $101,000 Jubilee Grand Prize Award to an independent Christian filmmaker. He is the executive producer of several films including The League of Grateful Sons, a documentary about how Christian fatherhood and multi-generational faithfulness impacted three men during the bloody conflict of Iwo Jima. Doug is the editor of several books, and the author of The Little Boy Down the Road: Short Stories and Essays About the Beauty of Family Life, and The Birkenhead Drill.

Doug is also a licensed attorney with a specialty in constitutional law. He is the founder of The Witherspoon School of Law and Public Policy, The Christian Boys’ & Men’s Titanic Society, the National Center for Family-Integrated Churches, the All-American Boy’s Adventure Catalog, the Beautiful Girlhood Collection catalog, and the Vision Forum Book Catalog. Doug has appeared on numerous radio and television shows and has spoken at more than one hundred homeschool conferences in more than forty states. He is the son of conservative leader and three-time presidential candidate Howard Phillips. The greatest joys in Doug’s life are his wife Beall and the eight children that God has graciously given to them: Joshua, Justice, Liberty, Jubilee, Faith Evangeline, Honor, and Providence and Virginia.
