Dr. Stephen W. Linton (Korean name: Yinsae Ban), who has visited North Korea since 1997 to help tuberculosis patients. As the 4th generation descendant of missionary EugeneBell, who came to Korea during the latter era of Chosun Dynasty, he was born and spent his early childhood in Korea. Happening to visit North Korea on a tour in 1979, he began to take interest in North Korea, and after witnessing the reality of tuberculosis patients in North Korea, he founded the EugeneBell Foundation, named after his great-grandfather, and has been visiting 2-3 times annually to deliver medicine to tuberculosis patients. Dr. Linton has laid down his life and serves the tuberculosis patients in North Korea. He stresses that he is an errand man, not a missionary. Because Dr. Linton and the sponsors know God’s heart towards each soul in North Korea, their prayers and hearts for North Korea are incessant, even today.
