Broad Oak: A Father's Legacy
2004 | Documentary | Semi-Finalist

Broad Oak: A Fathers Legacy is a documentary about two great men. The first was the English pastor, Matthew Henry. His name will forever be twinned with his Commentary on the Whole Bible that has blessed Christians for many generations. The second was his father, Philip Henry, a faithful pastor who was ejected from his pulpit for holding true to his beliefs. His life and conduct impressed all who knew him, but his first congregation was always his family. This half-hour film travels to the places where father and son ministered. The setting is England and Wales. The time is the seventeenth century. The message is timeless.
