More than 1,800 participants from around the world were on hand in the Alamo City for the presentation of the Jubilee Awards during closing ceremonies at the 8th annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF), held at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in downtown San Antonio last Saturday night. An additional 5,000-plus registered users tuned in via the web to watch the free live broadcast of the event.
2012 Jubilee Award Winners
More than 2,100 participants representing forty-five states from coast to coast and such foreign countries as Bulgaria, Romania, and Uganda were on hand for the presentation of the Jubilee Awards during closing ceremonies at the 7th Annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF), held at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in downtown San Antonio this last Saturday a mere twenty-four hours before the 84th Annual Academy Awards.
2010 Jubilee Award Winners
More than 1,700 participants representing states from coast to coast and such foreign countries as Ireland, Nigeria, and New Zealand were on hand for the presentation of the Jubilee Awards during closing ceremonies at the sixth annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, held at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown San Antonio this last weekend.
2009 Jubilee Award Winners
The 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival was an event of firsts. Each of these firsts pointed to the growing maturity of the independent Christian film movement and its mission to build a Christ-honoring replacement industry outside of Hollywood. For the first time in history, a Christian film festival offered the largest single cash prize in America to a single filmmaker. Also, with more than 2400 people in attendance at the SAICFF, interest in Christian filmmaking appeared to reach a historic high.
2007 Jubilee Award Winners
The future of our culture will be waged in the hearts and souls of the people of this nation. The vision of the Jubilee Awards and the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival is to make one of the many steps needed to lead men to Christ, to train Christians to actually think like Christians, and to take back the culture for the Lord Jesus Christ in the area of film by encouraging, motivating, and rewarding those uncompromising, creative, and innovative filmmakers who are willing to take the narrow path.
2006 Jubilee Award Winners
“With more than 130 film submissions to this year’s festival, selecting the winners was no easy task” noted Doug Phillips, founder of the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. “Yet we are now delighted to recognize our winners — all worthy films that give glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
2005 Jubilee Award Winners
More than a thousand participants representing states from New York to Washington and foreign countries from New Zealand to Romania were on hand for the presentation of the Jubilee Awards during closing ceremonies at the second annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, held at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in downtown San Antonio.
2004 Jubilee Award Winners
“Hollywood is at war with Christianity and the American family,” said Doug Phillips, founder of the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. “Our goal this week, however, was not to curse the darkness, but to light a candle of hope by casting vision for the burgeoning movement of independent Christian filmmakers, by promoting the highest and most God-honoring standards for filmmaking, and by recognizing and rewarding excellence in Christian filmmaking.”
