SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — November 8, 2004 — Vision Forum Ministries is pleased to receive Texas Governor Rick Perry’s endorsement of the first ever San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival and Jubilee Awards to be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio on November 11-13.

“Faith plays a central role in the lives of many Texans, giving meaning and providing the strength needed to meet the challenges of a new day,” noted Governor Perry. “The [San Antonio Independent Christian Film] Festival serves as an affirmation of faith and reinforces the role of film as an avenue of expression and entertainment.”

“Texas has long been fertile ground for independent filmmakers,” continued Perry. “ I applaud the artists for their passion and commitment to artistic excellence, and I commend the festival’s organizers and participants for their dedication and support for the arts....As Governor, I am pleased to extend greetings to all in attendance at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, sponsored by Vision Forum Ministries.”

The festival will bring together a Christian worldview with the independent spirit of San Antonio for what will make for a memorable cultural event. “Anita and I send you best wishes for a wonderful festival,” commented Perry. “To those of you from out of town, I hope that you will take the time to explore and enjoy San Antonio. From fine entertainment to its world-renowned historic and cultural attractions, the Alamo City has something for everyone.”
